Ali Ebtekar

Ali Ebtekar has 20 years of design and creative leadership experience in technology, entertainment, advertising, and online communities. He has successfully launched cutting edge products and projects for companies and clients such as ABC, Blurred Whisper, Fujitsu, Hewlett-Packard, IFILM, Macromedia, MTV, Muse, NEC, OnLive!, Paramount Pictures, PeopleSoft, Saatchi & Saatchi, SAP, Turner New Media, and Universal Pictures. Prior to joining Veeker, Ali was a senior member of the DST, a strategic design consulting group in the Office of the CEO at SAP. In 2002, he co-founded Blurred Whisper, a design consultancy conceiving and designing innovative online experiences and advanced user interfaces. Prior to that, he was the Director of Creative Development/Human Interface at Muse Corporation, a developer of an enabling technology for broadband entertainment content. In 1999, Ali joined IFILM as Director of Broadband Media to lead the design and development of broadband interface of IFILM.com. Prior to joining IFILM, he was among the founding group of the San Francisco office of Darwin Digital - a vision company of the global advertising agency, Saatchi & Saatchi - where he art directed some of the most innovative and effective branding and advertising campaigns on the Web. He also initiated and built the advanced technology group for Darwin Digital. As a senior member of the design team at OnLive! Technologies, Ali contributed to the development of the first internet 3D voice chat technology, OnLive! Traveler. He art directed the MTV TikkiLand campaign when MTV hosted the first TV launch of an Internet technology in 1996. OnLive! has been awarded a place in the permanent research collection of the Smithsonian Institution. Ali holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley.
