Alex Kelly
Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer
Alex Kelly has 17 years of experience in strategy and business development in the media and technology industries. Prior to co-founding Veeker in September of 2005, Alex was Head of Corporate Development for Pinnacle Systems (PCLE). In that role, he reported to the CEO and was in charge of M&A, strategy and business development. Alex led the deal team that sold Pinnacle to Avid Technologies for $462 million. From 2000 to 2004, Alex was Vice President of New Media for Fox Filmed Entertainment where he was responsible for coordinating all new media marketing activities across all divisions of the film company worldwide. He co-managed the company?s main portal site FOX.COM, negotiated strategic advertising partnerships, and developed and implemented the global technical infrastructure that supports marketing activities. Prior to that position, Alex was the Director of Business Development for Fox Filmed Entertainment for two years where he evaluated new business opportunities, coordinated the strategic planning process, and worked with teams of executives from various divisions on operational initiatives. From 1994 to 1998, Alex worked as a senior member of Booz, Allen & Hamilton?s Communication, Media and Technology Group where he worked with executive clients to develop and implement strategic initiatives. His clients included film studios, television networks in the US and abroad, music distribution companies, and a book publisher and a television producer. Alex has also held marketing and business development positions at A&E Networks and Billboard magazine. He has an MBA from Columbia University and he is a member of The Producer Guild of America?s New Media Council.
