Media?s Director of SMS/MMS

As Twistbox Entertainment?s Director of SMS/MMS, Tom Chamberlin oversees strategy and execution of the global off-deck business. He recently held the post of Associate Director of the American Film Institue?s Digital Content Lab, an incubator for new technologies that brings media companies together with technology and new media production experts, with the goal of creating interactive prototypes and strategies for television, wireless, web and emerging distribution media. Mr. Chamberlin?s duties at AFI included serving as executive producer, having debuted ground-breaking projects for MTV, Telemundo, National Geographic Channel, Music Choice, WWE, Reuters, A&E/History Channel and other media properties. Mr. Chamberlin has also worked for the Bertelsmann group as head of sales, where he managed mass-scale viewer voting for shows, including: FremantleMedia?s American Idol, Canadian Idol, Mark Burneet?s Rock Star, 19 Entertainment?s ?So You Think You Can Dance?? and Univision?s Objetivo Fama. Prior to Bertelsmann, he led media relations efforts for FremantleMedia?s The Complex: Malibu and worked at building relationships with Fox TV affiliates, Clear Channel Communications and print media partners. He began his career in the interactive and new media industry providing baluations for film studios, early Internet ventures and other media related organizations with rich intellectual property. Some past valuation clients included Panavision and the Vatican Library, during employment with a La Jolla, Calif., based consultancy. Mr. Chamberlin earned a degree in Television, Film and New Media from San Diego State University.
