Twistbox Games, the mobile games development and publishing division of Twistbox Entertainment, Inc., kicks off 2007 with praise from the mobile gaming industry for its internally developed breakthrough title ANNO 1701 Mobile. The game was nominated for the prestigious 2007 ?Best Made for Mobile" Game by the GSM Association (GSMA), the trade organization that represents cellular phone operators, as well as manufacturers and suppliers of cellular telephony products as well as winning top honors at the German Developer Awards.

Twistbox Acquires Infospace Games

This week, Twistbox Entertainment announced the acquisition of Infospace's America mobile games studio, which many long-time mobile gamers might know as Atlas Mobile. Responsible for the For Prizes line-up, this arm will now become part of Twistbox Games, the mobile gaming unit of Twistbox Entertainment.

Twistbox Entertainment says that it is buying all of the assets of Infospace's U.S.-based mobile games Studio located in San Mateo, Calif. Formerly known as Atlas Mobile, the Studio is a pioneer in the Play for Prizes business across the major carriers in North America, which includes multiplayer tournaments and loyalty campaigns for leading consumer and entertainment brands.
