Silver Spring, Maryland, USA -- The court case regarding gurdwara Guru Nanak Foundation of America (GNFA) that began back in April 2002 had reached a court-ordered settlement in June 2003. But the settlement broke down towards the end of the voter registration process in December 2003 after an exchange of scathing letters between the GNFA Board of Trustees and the League of Women Voters of Montgomery County which was moderating the voting process.
