.Ludia and Classic Media has launched Where’s Waldo? The Fantastic Journey for the iPhone and iPod touch. Based on the hit publishing series, the US$4.99 app enables fans of the elusive Waldo to enjoy a hidden-object game experience on their Apple device.
In the weeks since the House passed H.R. 3962, the Affordable Health Care for America Act, claims, figures, and statistics have been passed off as facts or lies depending on who you ask, as people struggle to educate themselves on the U.S. health care industry. Now, iPhone users can gauge their knowledge of health care reform with the launch of Death Panel, a free iPhone and iPod touch game from People Operating Technology. The game is purportedly non-political, non-partisan and incorporates third-party facts into game play via a quiz-like interface.
AppAppers has launched iJog 1.0 for iPhone users. The $0.99 tracker app sports GPS technology that records time and distance, even if users are listening to music while they run or jog. iJog takes care of all trip calculations, even the course traveled, average speed, trip time and the number of calories burned.
WorshipApps has rolled out SongSuggest 1.0, a $5.99 praise worship application for iPhone and iPod touch users. It helps worship leaders select familiar songs for their music sets/services. SongSuggest features over 600 songs from around the world, and offers one-click search for online lyrics, chords, videos, and audio sorted by theme, key and/or tempo.
Dramatic Applications has launched Fight Lights 1.0 for the iPhone and iPod touch. The $1.99 app offers a way for avid sports fans to show support for their favorite team. Enter your favorite teams’ names, select their uniform colors from a color picker provided, then flash your team’s colors with special effects.
Appnoose has introduced Gorilla Monkey Crunch Lite 1.0 for the iPhone and iPod touch. The free, lite version features all the same functions as the fully paid version except that it doesn’t have the global high scores using Openfeint, doesn’t save the game on exit or interruption and is ad supported. Gorilla Monkey Crunch Lite is a 2D arcade style action game in which your goal is to knock out as many monkeys as you can from their rafts as they pass below by dropping coconuts from above.
Tarver Games has released Ghosts Attach for the iPhone and iPod touch. In the $4.99 game a story unfolds regarding the late 1960’s disappearance of 13 scientists who were accidentally transported to a parallel dimension in a failed teleportation experiment. Too dangerous for humans, the company that employed the scientists is now dispatching remote controlled Rovers to explore and conquer the new realm.
LocateTV— an online source of TV, DVD and online programming—has launched an application for the iPhone. The free app allows users to access their favorite LocateTV.com functionality on their iPhone and iPod touch.
Entetrainer has announced Speedhero 1.0 for iPhone and iPod touch. A $4.99 sports radar for your Apple device, it’s built for speed shooting. Wildcard Network has launched its Wildcard iPhone application. The free app “brings gift cards to life by offering a convenient and intuitive way to manage and gift on the iPhone.”
MapItApps has announces H1N1 Map— Outbreaks Near You 2.2, an update of the $2.99 iPhone/iPod touch app. Also known as the Swine Flu, the application tracks specific locations of epidemic H1N1 outbreaks. H1N1 Map includes 30,000 records, fatalities, and can plot phone address book so users can see outbreaks near their family and friends.
Obopay has announced that its Obopay Mobile Payments application for the iPhone will be available from the Apple App Store beginning today. The free download will enable iPhone users to send money to friends and family with Obopay’s application.
Dale Webb of The Protocol Centre in Coral Gables has released Etiquette Avenue 1.3, the newest version of the $2.99 iPhone application. With the “Food for Thought” upgrade, users can access screens of tips and advice on handling messy meals and confusing cuisine in professional situations.
Matteo Rossi has released WiFiPhoto 1.2 for the iPhone and iPod touch. The $0.99 app lets you download photos from the Apple device to any computer over a Wi-Fi network. Version 1.2 makes it possible to watch slideshows directly on a TV screen connected to a game console.
Deep Powder Software has introduced U.F.O. Sightings 1.1 for iPhone and iPod Touch users who love to read all the details of alien visitation. The $0.99 app offers info on U.F.O. sightings. Version 1.1 offers new splash screens and backgrounds, as well as versatile search features.
Zentity has announced Touch Carrom 1.1.1, an update of the $1.99 Carrom board game for the iPhone and iPod touch. It brings the power of touch controls to the game and sports “natural equipment simulation, with engaging game play, intuitive touch controls and more.”
Pingysoft today announced Ring it Up 3.1, an update to their $9.99 point-of-sale solution for the iPhone and iPod touch. It allows anyone who runs a small business to make a sale or capture expenses wherever they happen to be. Version 3.1 incorporates barcode scanning and more.
Good.iWare has announced the latest version of its $4.99 GoodReader file viewer application for the iPhone and iPod touch, which includes “PDF Reflow.” A beta of the PDF Reflow feature was available in the previous version, and the final release of it is included in the newest version along with other improvements.
Kayak, a travel search engine, has launched version 2.0 of the Kayak for iPhone app. Building on Kayak’s early success in the mobile online travel category, the new app adds the search engine’s trips management tool and includes several usability enhancements and faster search performance.
