Mobile content technology developer Faith West announced mXMFTool, which leverages open standards flexibility to enable mobile content developers to create improved audio quality for ringtones, mobile games and related applications. Faith West will also bundle with mXMFTool a library of 125 royalty-free mobile audio sound effects including animal noises, sports effects, weapons and environmental sounds. "Increasingly, we've found that customers want to include more and more sophisticated audio in their applications," said Faith West director Haruko Kurata in a prepared statement. "mXMFTool allows developers to make highly creative use of their limited resources. Sound designers can generate as realistic a level of sound as MP3, while keeping file sizes small and as easy to manipulate as MIDI."
